South Bass Island has a variety of sleep-over options, but be warned, they book up early during the summer tourist season from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Visitors to the exciting island also have the option of home rental, to spending the night at the newly improved South Bass Island State Park.
Put-in-Bay Resort & Conference Center provides first class Caribbean theme rooming in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay. It first opened to the public in 2005 and claims to be the only full service resort and conference center ideal for memorable meetings, weddings and banquets for up to 450 guests.
Bay Lodging claims to have the only indoor - outdoor swimming pool. Located just 3 blocks from downtown on a quiet street away from the hustle, Bay Lodging first opened its door to lodgers in the Summer of 1990.
Island Club Home Rental offers a number of homes with reduced rates in April, with prices jumping dramatically up through July when they start to ease back through October.
TRANSPORTATION RENTALS: there are several golf cart, moped, and bicycle rental locations on the island. You must be a licensed driver and 18 years of age or older to rent a golf cart or moped. Golf Carts or mopeds are licensed motor vehicles and all applicable Ohio laws apply.
Grocers: There are 2 grocery stores / markets on the island.
The island has police, fire and EMS services. There is one post office, one library, and one gas station and 2 churches on the island: St. Paul's Episcopal and Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
